With its Spilberk Castle that is now a city museum, Cabbage Market which has been around since the 13th century, former underground torture chambers and a hotel with rooms themed after films like Last Tango in Paris or La Doce Vita....there is always something to discover! The sculptor Jaroslav Róna chose to make the horses legs unusually long so that it would be tall without the use of a pedestal allowing the viewer to be able to touch the statue.
