Machern, Germany has many things to offer including the Bach Museum, two castles and the snack square market. Schloss Püchau (Püchau Castle) has a documented history dates back to 924 AD. Although through the years there have been adornments and changes, its current structure highlights the changes that were made during the different periods. In 1998, the current owners began a loving restoration of the property including new casts of the eagles on the entrance columns that were melted down in 1913.
