The Olympic Mountains are a mountain range on the Olympic Peninsula. A large portion of the range is contained within the Olympic National Park. Seven Lakes Basin is a basin located in Olympic National Park. Despite the name, there are actually 8 small lakes in the area. While the basin itself has a barren, lunar landscape it is surrounded by old-growth forest and alpine meadows lush with wildflowers and blueberries. Black Bears, mountain goats, marmots and Olympic Elks are common in this area.
