Venetian Lion Grosgrain Ribbon Description

The flag of the Republic of Venice featuring the traditional icon of St Mark - the Lion of Saint Mark. The text written in Latin on the book says: "Pax tibi Marce, evangelista meus." (May Peace be with you, Mark, my evangelist.). The lion is the symbol of Saint Mark (San Marco).
