this lovely Lady in a flowing red dress and perched below an archway of fall/autumn colored owls with a background of crows is the handy work of Alfons Maria Mucha 1860-1939 who is more commonly known as Alphonse Mucha, the father of Art Nouveau painting. He was a Chech artist known for his very bold and distinct style, especially his advertisements. Many of his subjects were lovely models made up to represent the seasons. He was a prolific artist and produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, and designs as well as designs for jewelry, carpets, wallpaper, & theatre sets in what became known as the Art Nouveau style.
