Protect Trans Kids Button
According to NASP (the National Association of School Psychologists), gender diverse and transgender kids have specific needs not sufficiently covered under current policy. They face specific risk factors that impact their physical health, mental health and academic performance and also find fewer school-based services and supports to benefit from. These kids experience disproportionate amounts of bullying and harassment from not just peers, but also teachers, administration, and school staff. Current legislation has been taking away trans kids' rights, making it a crime for them to use a bathroom where they feel safe, and reprimanding them for gender presentation that makes them feel comfortable.
