11" x 14" Poster Print: "The Lady of Shalott" (Lord Tennyson), vintage art and historical poetry with a modern twist. The cursed Lady of Shalott mourns her tragic fate in this lovely Victorian illustration of 1846 by Daniel Maclise and H. Robinson. The original black-and-white engraving is in the public domain, and I've remixed it with a modern twist by digitally hand-colouring it. To complement the enchanting imagery, I've incorporated a quotation from the beautiful 1842 poem The Lady of Shalott by Alfred, Lord Tennyson: "'I am half-sick of shadows,' said the Lady of Shalott." This pretty print is perfect for the 21st-century lover of 19th-century art and poetry. It would look wonderful on the wall of a neo-Victorian parlor, romantic boudoir, or steampunk study. Other sizes available in my store.
