This turquoise or aqua blue rosary in the modern style uses an Art Nouveau central medallion of Mary as Virgo Virginum (Virgin of Virgins) and a modern sans serif font Kleptocracy Bold. Turquoise or aqua blue is one of the colors associated with the Glorious Mysteries in modern usage. + Image Credit (Modern Glorious 2 Rosary Beads): Our aqua blue rosary beads derive from a loose bookplate in the designer's private collection entitled “Gems and Precious Stones” featuring the Hope Blue Diamond (No. 30). The bookplate was prepared under the direction of George F. Kunz (1856-1932), the renowned American mineralogist and gem expert with Messrs. Tiffany and Company. It was chromolithographed by L. Prang & Co., Boston, Massachusetts, c.. 1890. We have “recut” the diamond so to speak to conform to our other rosary beads and deepened its color. + Image Credit (Rosary Chains): Adapted by Saints_Aplenty from chain emojis. + Image Credit (Central Medallion): Antique image of Mary as Virgo Virginum (Virgin of Virgins) extracted from an early 20th-century French devotional print, original publisher unknown, from the designer's private collection of religious ephemera. + Image Credit (Cross): The faux silver budded cross is a Saints_Aplenty original. + NOTE WELL: All elements of these flat, 2-dimensional flags are PRINTED! No actual gemstones or metals are used in their production.
