A number of years ago I did a small pen and ink drawing with fineliner of the "York Minster" cathedral. I loved the moody atmosphere created in the artwork and enjoyed capturing all the fine architectural details. In 2008, I was able to visit the York Minster while studying theology at Capernwray Bible School in Lancashire. We took a couple of trips into York. The Minster rose majestically above the surrounding buildings in all its gothic splendour. It felt like I had stepped back in time - into a Charles Dickens novel - as I walked around the city and a highlight was hearing the chimes of the Minster ring out hymns for all to hear far and wide.
