The painting "Madonna Adoring the Child with Five Angels" by the Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) is a tondo (a round painting) representing the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus accompanied by five wingless angels. One angel sustains baby Jesus when Madonna is adoring him, with hands clasped in prayer. In the background there are roses. The golden frame is adorned with winged cherub heads. The painting is in the public domain in the United States, the European Union and all countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 100 years or less.
