This colorful vintage image was cover art from an antique travel guide about the summer resorts in Yorkshire in the North of England from the late 19th century. It was published by the North Eastern Railway Company as an aid to passengers traveling by rail to the area of the Dales. Wensleydale and Swaledale and six resorts there, namely Leyburn, Askrigg, Aysgarth, Hawes, Richmond, Ripon and Fountains Abbey. The colors are bright red and yellow, teal, red and green and there is a drawing of waterfalls you would see there. It has a charming nostalgic look almost like a comic book and you can tell that the original artwork was drawn by hand. I did some restoration by cleaning and brightening it up and am happy to be able to put this lost piece of art back into circulation.
