About "Animal Tracks" by Skye Ryan-Evans © Created with an iron-stone background, and in the traditional Australian Aboriginal style, this highly detailed depiction of Outback or Desert animals will appeal to those who have an interest in Aboriginal artforms. The artwork shows "live" snakes, a Kangaroo and a Lizard all heading towards a common watering-hole (known in Australia as a Billabong). All around them the now fading tracks of many desert animals trek across the "map" heading towards and away from the various waterholes in the region. The art "map" shows 3 major Billabongs with the main one showing three important streams or rivers feeding into the pool as tributaries. The earth beneath is parched and devoid of obvious plantforms, depicting the harsh environment to which these amazing animals have so cleverly adapted. 25% of proceeds from royalties earned from sales of this beautiful neo-primitive art pad, is donated directly to Defenders of Wildlife at: www.defenders.org.
