This design features a painting by the Irish artist John Lavery (1856–1941). It depicts the interior of the jockeys' dressing room at Ascot Racecourse, which is one of the most prestigious racecourses in the UK for thoroughbred horse racing. The jockeys are preparing for their horse races. They are wearing their racing colours: for example, a man in the foreground is wearing a pink and yellow jersey, while another is wearing a blue jacket. All of the jockeys are wearing brightly colored caps on their heads. The original artwork was painted by John Lavery in 1923.
