This design features a painting by the English artist Sir John Everett Millais, who was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. It depicts a baby alone in a wooden cot, which is floating on water that has flooded the entire village where the baby lives. The baby has its arms raised playfully and there are blankets covering its body. Buildings in the background can be seen submerged in water. There is a small black cat perched on the cot, seeking safety with the baby. A jug is floating in the water beside the baby's cot, which may have come from a villager's flooded kitchen. It is an image of hope in adversity. The original artwork was painted by John Everett Millais in 1870.
