This design features a painting by the Canadian artist Paul Peel (1860–1892). It depicts a boy with rosy cheeks blowing bubbles. He is wearing a white shirt and a straw hat for summer, and the hat appears to have a peacock's feather tied to it. The sky is light blue and clear of clouds. Soap bubbles have been used as entertainment for children for at least 400 years. The original artwork was painted by Paul Peel in 1884, and it is now housed in the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, Canada.
