This design features a painting by the German artist Carl Blechen (1798–1840), who was a member of the Romantic movement. It shows a remote canyon valley in a woodland landscape, set somewhere in the rural countryside of Germany. There are many trees covering the hills, and there is a stone bridge that crosses a small running river that cuts through the landscape. There is a small waterfall in the foreground. Two human figures can be seen chopping wood in the forest. The original artwork was painted by Carl Blechen in 1825.
