This design features a painting by the Scottish artist George Henry (1858–1943), who was one of the most prominent members of the Glasgow School of art. It a depicts a view of Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, seen from parkland in the center of the city. Famous landmarks such as Arthur's Seat, the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle can be seen. Edinburgh is located in the historic region of Lothian, on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth. Edinburgh is the most populous city in Scotland after Glasgow. The skyline of the city here is depicted in silhouette, using various shades of blue and green to produce an elegant and stylish effect. The original artwork was painted by George Henry in 1924.
