This design features a painting by the American artist Thomas Sully (1783–1872). It depicts a girl dressed as a sea nymph. She is wearing a diaphanous dress and she is weaving flowers in her hair. Her hair is long and flowing. She is leaning against rocks in a coastal seascape. There is a graceful beauty to her posture. The waves of the sea are bringing water rushing over some of the rocks in the distance. The original artwork was painted by Thomas Sully in 1842.
