This design features a painting by the German Romantic artist Caspar David Friedrich (1774–1840). It shows a twisted oak tree seen against a colorful sky as night starts to fall. The tree is bare, except for a few dead leaves. The hill in the background is an ancient burial ground. Further back, the seashore and ocean can be seen, as well as Cape Arkona, a natural landmark in in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. A couple of crows are perched on the tree, while many more birds can be seen in the sky, ready to swoop down on it. The original artwork was painted circa 1822 by Caspar David Friedrich; it is now housed in the Musée du Louvre, Paris, France.
