This design features a pattern created by British artist William Morris (1834–1896), founder of the Arts and Crafts movement. William Morris turned to nature for inspiration in his wallpaper designs, using the native field and garden flowers of the English countryside. This "Pink and Rose" design is characterized by features a repeating pattern that displays the beauty of nature. The original pattern was created circa 1890, and it was digitized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
