This design features a painting by the American artist Charles Marion Russell (1864–1926). It shows one male deer, known as a stag or buck, and two female deer, which are each known as a doe or a hind. The stag is standing proud in the center of the image with its antlers held high. The two hinds are eating plants. The animals are in a festive woodland, where the tall trees and ground are both snow-covered. There is a beautiful sunset in the distance. It is an elegant depiction of the winter season, when many people celebrate the festivities of Christmas. The original artwork was painted in 1906.
