- from our Affiliates
This design features a painting by the Swedish artist Anna Katarina Boberg (1864–1935). It shows a landscape in the north of Norway; the Northern Lights (also known as Polar Lights or Aurora Borealis) can be seen lighting up the sky. The Northern Lights are a a natural light display in the Earth's sky, mainly seen in high-latitude regions around the Arctic. Northern Norway is still one of the best and most interesting places to see the Northern Lights today, because of its stunning scenery, made up of small islands, deep fjords and steep mountains. The original Swedish title of Anna Boberg's painting is "Norrsken: Studie från Nord Norge", which means "Northern Lights: Studies from North Norway".
