This design features a painting by Julian Onderdonk (1882–1922), who was a Texan Impressionist painter, often called "the father of Texas painting". It shows a field of bluebonnet flowers in San Antonio, Texas. The bluebonnet is a name given to a number of purple-flowered plant species of the botanical genus Lupinus; they are predominantly found in southwestern United States and is collectively the state flower of Texas.
