This design features an American World War II wartime poster that has an inspirational image of Rosie the Riveter intended to boost female worker morale. In fact, the poster was little seen in WWII, but it was rediscovered in the early 1980s and widely reproduced in many forms as a symbol of women's rights, feminism and other political issues. The image was used as the cover of Smithsonian magazine in 1994 and it was also used for a US first-class mail stamp in 1999. The poster is currently one of the most requested images at the United States National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The design is often used to inspire and uplift.
