An exceedingly rare image of men engaged in the sport of Tug of War or Tug-O-War circa 1890’s. These Edwardian era men were enjoying a day on the banks of the beautiful Fox River near Elgin Illinois USA over one hundred and twenty five years ago. This image is a scan of an original glass negative in my collection. The image is in somewhat soft focus.
