An exceedingly rare image of women engaged in the sport of Tug of War or Tug-O-War circa 1890’s. These Edwardian woman were enjoying a day on the banks of the beautiful Fox River near Elgin Illinois over one hundred and twenty five years ago. This image is a scan of an original glass negative in my collection. The image is in somewhat soft focus. I have put a backdrop image of the American flag as the United States is a fierce competitor in the sport of Tug of War! This item would be a perfect gift for the Tugger in your life.
