Deruta, a medieval town in Umbria (Italy) is known as a main center for the production of majolica in the Renaissance period and later. One of known Deruta motifs was named Penna di Pavone (italian term for peacock feather). Usually Deruta’s designs have central print with wide painted border with decorative motifs.
