This engraving was a two page spread in the "Graphic Illustrated" for 1890. Entitled " 'Ware wire" it shows two unfortunate horses falling and throwing their riders after catching the wire hidden behind a hedge. Other riders have stopped in alarm on the other side of the hedge, including a lady riding sidesaddle. This is a beautifully drawn and engraved scene of foxhunting in England in Victorian times, though the subject matter is an unhappy accident. Drawn by John Charlton and published in 1890.
