Special exclusive OFI photograph of an orangutan mother and her baby in the rainforest of Kalimantan, the island of Borneo. Orangutan Foundation International was founded by Dr. Birute Mary Galdikas who went to Borneo in the 1970's as a UCLA graduate student. She is one of the three women (along with Dian Fossey and Jane Goodall) chosen by Dr. Louis Leakey to study the Great Apes. Orangutans' natural habitat is very limited- the rainforest of only two islands - Borneo and Sumatra. Sales of this coffee mug support the conservation of this endangered specie and their rainforest habitat.
