Roots and wings poster
Inspired by E.Y. Harburg's quote - my mind is always looking for something new, a new challenge, new inspiration. Always running off to some new place, taking in a new surrounding, new ideas and new concepts. Stealing the glittery treasures of experience and knowledge. As I learn, I grow. My flight (flying or fleeing?) has taken me to many places and with that, several countries. Meanwhile, my heart yearns for family and friends spread out around the globe. My roots are being stretched, ripped out of the ground. Wherever I go, my heart takes roots again, persistent and stubborn. They need time to grow, to reach deep enough to nourish and stabilize me. By that time, my mind wants to fly again. I cannot bear their bickerings. Inktense watercolour pencils on watercolour paper.
