Oldest (as of 2023) operating tugboat on the Great Lakes, America was built in Buffalo in 1897 and, despite two sinkings, a fire and a planned move off the lakes that never materialized, continues to put in a day's work at the Port of Monroe, Mich. She was rechristened to her original name in 2023. She is shown her after her mid-century conversion to diesel power.
