Pattern name [Japanese (romaji / English)] : 遠山に鶴 (tōyama ni tsuru / Cranes on a distant mountain) 紅型 (びんがた / Bingata) is Ryukyu dyeing, one of the traditional dyeing techniques representative of Okinawa, Japan. It is characterized by vivid colors, bold color schemes, and the simplicity of its figures. *Note: Color correction processing was performed using public domain data from the Digital Collections of the National Diet Library.
