Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne Wyoming Postcard
- from our Affiliates
This postcard features a view of the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It was built between 1886 and 1890. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1987. The dome of the building is copper and it tarnished so badly that they had to put gold leaf on its exterior and it was gilded five times. Only ten of the fifty states have gold leaf on their domes.
