247th Inf Valorous Unit Award with Cluster Shirt Affiliate icon

The 2/47th Infantry was awarded its first Valorous Unit Award for the Battle of Long Binh - Bien Hoa on January 31, 1968, the Tet Offensive. A bit over three months later, it earned a second VUA, this one enitiled Saigon, 6-12 May 68, but the battle along the banks of the Kinh Doi Canal in Saigon. was more popularly known as "Little Tet", "Min-Tet", and "The Battle for the Y Bridge". The awards, the unit equivalent of the individual Silver Star, in each instance were made a year after the actions, so most Panthers who fought in both battles are unaware they were entitled to wear the VUA with Oak Leaf Cluster. So here is your chance. This shirt features the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Valorous Unit Award with Oak Leaf Cluster, signifing the second award. Those Panthers not entitled to wear the CIB can remove it with the Customize it button. You can also choose a full front print, rather than a pocket area print with the Customize It function.
