Utagawa Hiroshige (æŒå· 広é‡, 1797 – October 12, 1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist in the Edo period (江戸時代, Edo jidai) or Tokugawa shogunate period (å¾³å·æ™‚代, Tokugawa jidai), and one of the last great artists in that tradition. He was also referred to as AndÅ Hiroshige (安藤 広é‡) and by the art names of IchiyÅ«sai Hiroshige (一幽斎廣é‡) and RyÅ«sai.
