Improvisation No. 30 (Cannons) by Wassily Kandinsky, 1913. A vintage fine art abstract painting featuring cannons in the lower right of the artwork. This piece is part of a series and was completed right before the start of WWI and was likely influenced by the heavy talk of war at the time. During the years before the war Kandinsky created several “improvisations.” He described these paintings as unconscious, spontaneous expressions.
