Lake Tahoe (1868) by Albert Bierstadt is a vintage American West fine art landscape painting. A view of the beautiful Lake Tahoe wilderness with surrounding mountains and trees at the edge of the forest. About the artist: Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902) was a German-American painter best known for his lush, sweeping landscapes of the American West. Bierstadt joined several journeys of the Westward Expansion. He was part of the Hudson River School whose style involved carefully detailed paintings with romantic, almost glowing lighting, sometimes called luminism.
