Women Bathing Dieppe (1885) by Paul Gauguin is a vintage post impressionism fine art maritime painting featuring best friends on summer vacation. A nautical seascape with several ladies swimming in the gentle waves of the ocean off the northern coast of France. About the artist: Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was a leader in the Post Impressionist movement which extended Impressionism while rejecting its limitations. They used vivid colors, thick application of paint, distinctive brushstrokes and real-life subject matter, but were more inclined to emphasize geometric forms and to use unnatural or arbitrary color.
