Young Girls at the Piano (1892) by Renoir is a vintage impressionism fine art musical family portrait painting. Two sisters playing music on the piano. The musicians are reading their sheet music as they learn this instrument. Renoir was commissioned to make these paintings for a new French museum in the early 1890's and created a series of five paintings of "Young Girls at the Piano" taking great care in their detail. About the artist: Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. Renoir's paintings are notable for their vibrant light and saturated color, most often focusing on people in intimate and candid compositions.
