The Circus (1891) by Georges Seurat is a vintage pointillist post impressionist fine art painting. This version has the "frame" that Seurat painted this image with. A classic circus scene with an acrobat riding a horse and the ring master guiding them. About the artist: Georges-Pierre Seurat (1859-1891) altered the direction of modern art by initiating the Neo impressionism movement. The Pointillism technique is often mentioned, because it was the dominant technique in the beginning.
