2023 Buffalo NY Mary Kunz Goldman Ink Sketches Calendar
Please note: The pictures in this calendar are the same as in the 2022 calendar. I was asked to repeat the drawings from last year because few had the chance to purchase the calendar. And furthermore who wouldn't want a do-over of 2022? Now you have one! Mary Kunz Goldman became known at The Buffalo News for her writing about classical music and about the highways and byways of Buffalo. Her writing about Buffalo inspired her to start drawing. For the last three or four years, Mary has been sketching our town -- from life, on location, in ink. She has portrayed many well-known locations: the History Museum, the Butler Mansion, the Botanical Gardens. However, as Mary says, “I am never happier than when I am drawing something with zero commercial appeal.” This calendar features some famous locations as well as more offbeat offerings. Among the offbeat: the Marine Drive Apartments, pictured on the cover, and the Delaware Park utility garage, pictured on the back. Among the better known locations are two historic grain elevators and a winter landscape starring the Delaware Park Lodge.
