A Northern Blue Jay sits in a Manitoba Maple tree (box elder) by the balcony, waiting for snacks. These beautiful birds especially love peanuts & acorns. Blue Jays are members of the Corvid family which includes crows, ravens, magpies, jays. Blue Jays are excellent imitators & quite intelligent. The blue jays announce themselves from half a block away, and know if they sit in tree and yell, a peanut porter with appropriate goodies will appear.
