This is a photo artwork of two Canada geese swimming, mother and father goose or gander with cute little yellow goslings only a day or two old, water reflections, natural environment of shoreline reeds and grasses. Goslings can swim almost as soon as they hatch and they have great fun playing in the water, splashing and dabbling and preening, nibbling on underwater greenery and learning lifelong habits from their parents. Canada geese are easy to recognize due to their elegant long black necks with white chinstraps, brown feathers on back and buff on chest. These popular birds mate for life and are a symbol of long relationships, family values, domestic harmony, abundance, protection; they are excellent parents and work together flawlessly to protect and teach the baby geese. Goose families often merge to create larger flocks, a community of several adult geese taking turns to babysit dozens of goslings. But right now, this happy family is new one - the goose had been sitting on eggs up til a couple of days ago - I had been taking photos of the female goose on the nest, interactions of goose and gander (for instance he protected her while she took a break to splash in the water, a refreshing bath!) - so it was nice to see that the goose eggs had hatched, and although none of the eggs was gold, they did contain some adorable golden treasures. Aren't they precious? This heartwarming image is perfect as a souvenir of Canada, for family, kids, parents; also for nature lovers, anyone who likes cute baby animals (awwww), bird people, ornithologists; original photo art for men, women or children who enjoy wildlife, waterfowl and the beauty of nature. This picture was taken around the middle of May from the grounds of Theatre de l'Ile, Vieux Hull, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The geese are swimming on Brewery Creek (FR. Ruisseau de la Brasserie), a popular spring hangout for water birds, and animals such as beaver and muskrat. Original photo M Sylvia Chaume, Vieux Hull, Quebec, Canada.
