Plenty of colorful patterns and intriguing textures in this photographic detail of paint peeling away from old boards at the back of a house in Hull, Quebec. Colors include shades of blue, yellow gold, wood grain with red and purple tones. This design is super for anyone who enjoys a modern take on urban art, details or macro photography, natural elements, abstract art with a modern perspective, bits of history with character, vanishing architectural details and the changing face of a vintage building. There is some soft focus around the edges which sharpens in the middle, attracting the viewer's eye. This house had fallen into serious disrepair, and was recently demolished to make way for progress. Many old houses have met the same fate. Most domiciles were homes for factory employees and other blue collar workers, and therefore weren't built with the same sturdy but expensive materials as used in the homes of white collar managers and professionals such as the doctor or banker. Workers' houses were often built on sandy soil or insecure foundations. As urban decay sets in over years, decades, even a century, homes made of soft woods such as pine and cedar, tarpaper or other inexpensive materials slowly deteriorate and / or return to nature. In this case, some guys with bulldozers hastened the process. Please enjoy this intriguing study of age, weathering, unique shapes, patterns and natural textures that survived to tell the story. Original urban architecture photography by M Sylvia Chaume, Canada. Happy blessings!
