The beautiful note card by the award-winning artist Paul McGehee. The original span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge opened in July 1952 and at the time was the longest continuous over-water steel structure, and the third longest bridge in the world! The second span of the bridge opened in 1973. Today, now named the "William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge", the bridge connects' mainland and the Eastern Shore. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge, at nearly 4 1/2 miles long, is an icon of the Bay. Each card comes with an envelope.
