The Parley 1903 Frederic Remington Parley means to speak with another or informal conference between enemies under a truce, especially to discuss terms, conditions of surrender, etc Frederic Remington was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in Western American art. His works depict the Western United States in the last quarter of the 19th century and featured cowboys, American Indians, and the US Cavalry. Remington was born in Canton, New York on October 4, 1861 and died near Ridgefield, Connecticut on December 26, 1909. He found inspiration in these subjects from an early age.
