Puget Sound Red Sailboat, off the Key Peninsula Postcard

I drew this as part of my toned paper landscape series. I take inspiration from the beauty that surrounds me in nature. Occasionally that will involve exceptional architecture.. or sailboats, or bridges, or lighthouses, but I almost always incorporate water and trees. As part of this series I usually add a hint of color. I drew this from a visit we made to scout out locations to potentially move to in the PNW. I was inspired by a small cove off the Key Peninsula, with the opening leading the the rest of the larger Puget Sound. It was originally drawn with various ink pens and either gel pen highlights, or chalk pencil highlights on toned tan paper.
