You will be delighted when your learner says the SOUND of the letter. That is the beginning of reading! This method is so EASY and fun. Designed by a teacher, Speech Language Pathologist, and artist. Each letter is an original work of art. The way this method works is that you sing the six letters on each image, but ONLY sing the SOUND. It is sung to the tune of the old classic ABC Song, but sing the SOUND ONLY. Practice, practice, practice! Just when you think it is not working, DO NOT STOP! It will eventually happen. Start singing it to your infant and all ages. Amazingly, an infant only has a window of time, approximately the first ten months of life, to learn the sounds of a language. So, singing these letter SOUNDS is a proactive approach to learning. Studies show that singing new information is learned faster, easier, remembered longer, and easier to add on new information in the future. WOW! That is what I thought! And singing gives off "feel good" endorphins, which makes this method of learning fun. Great for people learning English as a second language (ESL) too. If you have a learner who is struggling in reading, this method is for them. It's the basic SOUNDS of the English language, which is a GREAT foundation.
