Kanji for Courage Japanese Calligraphy T-Shirt
This single kanji character is pronounced 'yu' and represents courage. It's one of the eight principles of Bushido, the way of the warrior, the code of moral principles that samurai lived by. Brush artist Hiro created this work at his studio in Kyoto by hand and gave us permission to adapt it and offer it here. Hiro created the original calligraphy in the traditional style in black ink. We've made it white here in order to present it on black, which complements the dynamic style of the calligraphy and gives this design a real verve that accentuates the philosophy behind this energizing and uplifting kanji character.
