This product is decorated with a beautiful print of Paradise Shelduck, an illustration created by John Gerrard Keulemans (1842 – 1912). John Gerrard Keulemans was a Dutch bird writer and illustrator who was best known for natural history illustration. He illustrated many important bird books, including A History of the Birds of New Zealand. For most of his life he lived and worked in England, illustrating many of the best-known ornithology books of the nineteenth century. The paradise shelduck is a colorful, large goose-like duck that’s endemic to New Zealand. It is a prized game bird.
